Verity White Oblong Ceramic Basketweave Cachepot

A white oblong ceramic cachepot with raised basket-like detailing and a softly flared rim, the Verity cachepot brings a long, low silhouette to a table or console. Measuring 18 inches long, it provides an elongated vessel for an indoor plant arrangement, decorative fillers or the recommended orchid drop-in.

Ideal for: Traditional and Transitional dining tables, consoles and study shelves that benefit from a low ceramic vessel with woven-inspired relief.

Key Features

• Elongated Ceramic Body: An 18-inch length and 7.75-inch width create a clear horizontal shape. This makes the vessel useful when a long table or console needs an arrangement that follows the furniture rather than introducing a tall central object.
• Raised Basket-Like Relief: Interlacing raised lines travel around the sides of the cachepot. The woven-inspired pattern brings texture to the ceramic surface while remaining part of a single solid vessel, rather than an actual woven basket.
• White Finish with a Defined Rim: A pale finish keeps the relief easy to see through changes in light and shadow. The softly flared upper edge frames the opening and adds another curve above the repeating pattern on the body.
• Low 5.5-Inch Profile: The vessel stands 5.5 inches high, leaving the height of the finished arrangement to the planting or filler you choose. It can anchor a composition while keeping the ceramic element relatively low on the surface.
• No Drain Hole: The cachepot has no drainage hole. Use it as a cachepot or plant directly into it, lining the interior to protect fine furniture and taking care with watering because there is no drainage outlet.
• Recommended Orchid Pairing: We recommend the Phalaenopsis Orchid Drop-In shown in Complete the Look, available separately, for a floral arrangement suited to this vessel. The elongated body also suits a considered arrangement of decorative fillers when you prefer a lower display.

Care & Use

Design & Atmosphere

The long, low shape gives this white ceramic cachepot a different role from a round pot or a tall vase. It stretches a display across the surface, providing a horizontal foundation for greenery or decorative fillers. The rounded ends keep that elongated silhouette from feeling too rigid.

The basket-like relief adds the main decorative detail. Raised lines cross and curve across the body, while the pale finish allows their edges to catch the light. This gives the ceramic surface a suggestion of woven texture without changing the character of the material itself.

At 18 inches long and 5.5 inches high, the vessel is well suited to a console or table that has room for a wider arrangement. Check the depth of the surface as well as its length before placing it. A little space at each end helps the oblong outline remain distinct from the objects around it.

The pattern has a traditional quality, but the simple white finish allows the cachepot to sit in a Transitional room as well. It can accompany painted furniture, wood, patterned textiles or a quieter grouping of ceramic pieces. Choose the foliage or filler to determine whether the display feels fuller and botanical or more restrained.

The vessel offers a decorative framework that can change with the arrangement inside it. Our recommended orchid drop-in creates a floral display, while decorative fillers offer a lower arrangement. Protect the furniture beneath the cachepot, account for its lack of drainage and let the raised pattern remain visible.

The Curator’s Styling Tip

Use the recommended orchid drop-in for a floral display, or arrange a small group of decorative orbs along the length of the vessel. Leave enough of the rim and patterned sides visible to show the cachepot’s horizontal form.

Create a considered horizontal display with a white ceramic cachepot shaped for your table or console.
