A blue reactive glaze ceramic vase with flowing raised texture and an irregular rim, the Nerissa vase brings an organic silhouette to a console or side table. Its tapered body comes in Small and Large sizes, offering a sculptural display on its own or with decorative stems.

Ideal for: Coastal and Transitional interiors that combine expressive ceramics with quieter natural materials.

Key Features

  • Artisan-Made Ceramic: The ceramic vessel is artisan-made, with individual variations in size and color. Its shaped surface gives the glaze a varied foundation, bringing character without relying on a painted motif.
  • Tapered Form and Uneven Rim: The body narrows toward its base and opens into a gently irregular edge. This changing profile gives the vase a less rigid outline than a straight-sided vessel.
  • Blue Reactive Glaze: The reactive glaze follows the raised, flowing texture, creating lighter and deeper tones across the surface. Its tonal changes give the blue finish depth rather than a uniform block of color.
  • Two Selectable Sizes: Small and Large options allow the same design to suit different display heights. Choose one as a focal point, or purchase both separately for a coordinated arrangement with varied proportions.
  • Decorative Interior Display: The vase can stand empty to show its silhouette or hold a restrained grouping of decorative stems. Keep the arrangement open enough for the uneven rim and textured body to remain visible.
  • Organic Coastal Character: The flowing relief works with woven textures, pale upholstery and natural wood. The coordinating rounded cachepot repeats the finish in a lower form and is sold separately through Complete the Look.

Care & Use

Decorative interior use only. Dust with a dry cloth. Handcrafted pieces vary in size and color.

Design & Atmosphere

The vase’s identity comes from the relationship between its tapered outline and flowing surface. The uneven upper edge continues that movement, giving the piece an organic character even when it is displayed without an arrangement.

Light catches along the raised ridges while deeper tones collect between them. The reactive glaze makes those changes part of the color, allowing the blue surface to feel layered rather than dependent on a separate decorative pattern.

Use the smaller vase within a contained tabletop grouping and the larger where a more pronounced vertical element is needed. Leave clear space beside the rim so nearby objects do not interrupt its changing outline.

In a Coastal room, the texture can connect with woven seating and pale textiles. A Transitional interior can use the same curved form to soften tailored furniture, with plain stone or wood providing a quieter neighboring surface.

The finished arrangement feels more considered when the vessel has room to be noticed. A few decorative stems or the lower companion cachepot can complete the grouping while allowing the ceramic’s form and tonal depth to carry it.

Curator’s Styling Tip

Set the vase against a plain wall and use just a few branching stems that extend to one side. A low, smooth bowl nearby will contrast with the raised texture.

Bring flowing texture and sculptural blue ceramic to a thoughtfully styled surface.
