Maren Square Rattan Trays, Set of 2

A set of two hand-woven square rattan trays in warm brown, with raised sides and cutout handles that bring natural texture and a structured outline to everyday tabletop arrangements.

Ideal for: Coastal Transitional and relaxed Traditional interiors that benefit from warm woven accents and coordinated pieces in more than one size.

Key Features

• Hand-Woven Rattan Construction: Rattan strands form a detailed surface across each tray's base and sides. The close weave gives both pieces a consistent material character that remains visible around the objects you place inside.
• Square Form with Cutout Handles: Straight sides and rectangular hand openings create a clearly framed shape. The square footprint makes these trays easy to work into compact groupings on a counter, desk, or side table.
• Warm Brown Finish: The brown finish brings depth to the woven pattern and pairs naturally with wood, linen, and clear glass. It adds warmth to pale furniture or a light kitchen counter without introducing a bright accent color.
• Coordinating Set of Two: The set includes 13.75-inch and 12.25-inch square trays, both 2.5 inches high. Style them in separate areas to repeat the same texture, or keep them nearby as a coordinated tabletop pair.
• A Defined Place for Small Essentials: Use one tray to gather glassware or napkins and the other to organize a decorative vignette. Their raised sides give each grouping a visible boundary, helping a larger surface feel more considered.
• Versatile Woven Styling: The familiar basket-like texture softens polished stone, glass, and painted surfaces. A simple square outline keeps the look composed enough for traditional furnishings while fitting comfortably into relaxed coastal spaces.

Design & Atmosphere

These square trays bring a clear frame to smaller objects that might otherwise feel scattered across a surface. Each has a low, straight-sided outline and cutout handles, with the woven base providing as much visual interest as the objects arranged within it.

The warm brown finish gives the rattan a rich appearance, with small highlights and shadows following the weave. Beside smooth glassware or a pale ceramic vase, the layered strands create contrast through texture rather than through an elaborate shape.

The two sizes offer a practical way to repeat the material around a room. Place the larger tray on a coffee table or sideboard and the smaller one on a nearby counter, letting each hold a different arrangement while maintaining a consistent finish.

Their square proportions work especially well with simple furniture lines and framed artwork. Rattan adds an informal element to traditional rooms and feels equally at home with coastal linens, woven seating, and natural wood finishes.

Used together or separately, the trays make everyday arrangements easier to read. A few carefully chosen objects become a small composition, while the repeated weave brings warmth and continuity to the surrounding space.

The Curator’s Styling Tip

Try glassware and folded napkins on one tray, then use the second for a low decorative grouping elsewhere in the room. Leave space between objects so the pattern of the rattan remains visible.

Add coordinated warmth to two surfaces with a set of square rattan trays designed for relaxed, thoughtful styling.
