Florian Hand-Carved Square Mango Wood Trays, Set of Two

Square mango wood serving trays with hand-carved rope-effect borders, the Florian tray set brings natural grain and decorative detail to dry-food serving. Each set includes two graduated trays in your choice of Washed Black or Whitewash, ready for bread, crackers or pastries.

Ideal for: Coastal and Transitional interiors with natural wood, woven textures and restrained nautical detail.

Key Features

• Hand-Carved Mango Wood: The wood bodies are hand carved, with visible grain beneath the washed finish. Each tray brings natural material into the arrangement rather than a completely uniform painted surface.
• Carved Rope-Effect Border: A repeating diagonal carving follows the square perimeter. This raised border frames the contents, while softly rounded corners keep the outline from feeling severe.
• Two Washed Finishes: Choose Washed Black for a deeper contrast or Whitewash for a paler, more relaxed effect. Both finishes allow the wood grain and carved detail to remain part of the appearance.
• Two Graduated Trays: Each color option includes one larger and one smaller square tray. The pair can be stacked when not in use or placed separately for coordinated serving and display.
• Dry-Food Serving: Use for dry foods such as bread, crackers or pastries, following the care guidance below. The shallow sides keep the contents visible without the height of a serving bowl.
• Coastal and Transitional Character: The rope-like carving adds a nautical note without a literal seaside motif. Its restrained square form also works with traditional wood furniture and quieter Transitional accessories.

Care & Use

For dry food only. Clean with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Not safe for the microwave or dishwasher. For interior use.

Design & Atmosphere

The trays combine a simple square center with a more detailed perimeter. Their rope-effect carving follows every edge, giving the wood a decorative frame while leaving the center open for serving. Rounded corners soften the transition between the straight sides.

Whitewash gives the grain a pale backdrop, while Washed Black creates a deeper contrast around lighter contents. Light catches the raised carving differently from the flatter center, so the border remains visible even when the tray holds just a few pieces.

Set the larger tray on a kitchen island for dry pastries and bring the smaller one to a side table for crackers. A little open space around the contents keeps the carved edge visible and makes the arrangement easier to appreciate.

The rope-like detail fits naturally into Coastal rooms, but the overall shape is restrained enough for Transitional interiors. Pair it with plain ceramic dishes or woven linen, allowing those quieter surfaces to balance the more decorative wooden border.

The matching pair makes casual serving feel coordinated without requiring a full collection of tableware. Between gatherings, the trays can return to a shelf or console as simple wood accents, keeping their material and carving in everyday view.

Curator’s Styling Tip

For a coffee break, place two cups on plain saucers beside the tray and arrange a few dry pastries inside it. Keep drinks off the wood so the serving arrangement respects its dry-food care requirements.

Bring hand-carved detail to relaxed hosting with the Florian mango wood serving tray set.
