Beatrix Whitewash Concrete Sitting Rabbit Sculpture

A whitewash concrete rabbit sculpture with a seated body and long ears angled upward, the Beatrix sitting rabbit adds a quiet animal form to a shelf, tabletop or protected porch display. Small and Large options share the same rounded profile and textured white finish, making scale easy to choose around the surrounding objects.

Ideal for: Cottage and Transitional settings, sheltered entry displays and interiors that combine simple pottery with softly modeled decorative objects.

Key Features

• Modeled Concrete Form: Concrete gives the figure a solid body with visible surface texture. Beside smoother ceramic accessories or a painted console, that material contrast adds interest while keeping the overall palette light and restrained.
• A Rounded, Seated Silhouette: The folded hindquarters and small front paws create a lower, more grounded outline. The ears extend upward from the head, giving the rabbit a recognizable profile without the taller body of a standing pose.
• Pale Whitewash Finish: The whitewashed surface highlights the curves of the body and the shape of the ears. Subtle texture remains visible across the finish, so the figure brings surface detail as well as an animal motif to a display.
• Small and Large Size Options: The Small measures 4.5 by 3 by 6 inches, while the Large measures 6.75 by 4 by 8 inches. These individual options let you choose a proportion for a narrow shelf, bookcase or broader tabletop.
• Sheltered Placement Guidance: Suitable for indoor use or a covered porch, this piece needs protection from exposure. Rain, sun and frost will deteriorate it over time, so place it where its pale finish can be enjoyed within a sheltered setting.
• Easy to Integrate into a Group: The seated shape works with taller pots, books or an upright decorative object. Its modest height helps create a stepped arrangement, while the neutral finish allows nearby foliage or colored pottery to supply the contrast.

Care & Use

For covered porch or indoor use. Exposure to rain, sun and frost will cause deterioration over time. Not warranted for outdoor use.

Design & Atmosphere

The seated posture gives this concrete rabbit a calm, compact identity. Its rounded back and folded body create a broad curve, while the longer ears lift the profile. The silhouette has enough detail to be recognizable without requiring a busy arrangement around it.

The whitewash finish lets those curves do the decorative work. Across the shoulders and hindquarters, light reveals the softly textured surface; the ears introduce narrower edges and smaller shadows. Pairing the figure with a glossy pot makes that difference in finish especially clear.

The two sizes offer different possibilities for placement. A six-inch-high figure can sit within a bookcase or a smaller tabletop grouping, while the eight-inch option has a broader footprint and a more visible presence. Measure the surface and leave space around the body rather than filling every available inch.

The gentle animal form suits a Cottage interior, but its pale color also works in more tailored Transitional rooms. Natural wood, woven baskets and plain ceramic vessels make useful companions. A display can acknowledge the garden without needing to become a themed seasonal arrangement.

A seated rabbit can provide the lower element that helps a group feel balanced. Place it near a taller object and keep its face and ears visible from the main viewing angle. Indoors or on a protected porch, it brings a small point of character while asking for only a carefully chosen, sheltered position.

The Curator’s Styling Tip

Turn the seated rabbit slightly toward the center of the display, with a taller ceramic pot behind it. Leave its profile open so the curve of the back and the angle of the ears remain visible.

Add a quiet garden-inspired detail with a whitewash concrete sitting rabbit chosen to fit your display.
