Finlay Gold Springer Spaniel Bust Sculpture

A gold spaniel bust sculpture with a black plinth, the Finlay dog bust captures a springer spaniel’s long ears and alert expression in aluminum and iron. Handcrafted using a sand-cast method, this compact accent has a textured coat and a warm Champagne Gold finish.

Ideal for: Traditional and Transitional interiors, dog lovers’ studies and shelves with collected decorative objects.

Key Features

• Aluminum and Iron: Metal construction gives the bust a defined sculptural form, with a contrasting plinth grounding the presentation.
• Springer Spaniel Features: Long hanging ears, a shaped muzzle and an attentive gaze give the breed a recognizable presence.
• Champagne Gold and Black: A warm metallic finish catches the coat texture, while the dark base creates a crisp contrast beneath the head.
• Compact Bust Format: The shortened portrait form adds an animal subject without the larger footprint of a full-body figure.
• Indoor Accent: Display it as a standalone sculpture or beside a few books. It can also serve as a decorative bookend for lighter arrangements.
• Classic Character: The portrait treatment suits a traditional room, while the clear contrast of gold and black also works with simpler Transitional furniture.

Design & Atmosphere

The spaniel’s expression gives this small bust its focus. Its raised muzzle and hanging ears suggest alert attention, while the portrait format concentrates the character into a compact object rather than a full scene or animal grouping.

Light catches the incised coat details and gives the gold finish a changing appearance. The black base remains visually quieter, setting a clear boundary below the textured head and allowing the brighter surface to become the decorative emphasis.

A home office desk offers a close viewpoint for the face and ears. Position the bust where papers and equipment will not conceal the plinth, leaving a little clear surface around it so the portrait retains its individual presence.

Beside dark wood and bound books, the sculpture has a traditional study character. In a lighter interior, its metallic finish provides warmth, while the dark base can relate to black frames, hardware or other small accents already in the room.

The result is an object with personality that remains easy to live with. For someone drawn to dogs, it offers a familiar expression to enjoy every day, bringing a personal detail to an otherwise practical or carefully ordered space.

Curator’s Styling Tip

On a bookcase, place the bust beside a vertical stack of art books and leave the shelf above it open. A lighter background will help the dark base remain visible.

Add a loyal-looking companion to your shelves with this gold spaniel bust.
